Varandas Do Sol

This was our first trip to Portugal. The apartment is well located far enough from the 'hubub' and close enough to easily access all the local facilities. The apartment was clean tidy and well appointed. The 'welcome pack' is an inspired idea and removes all the worries of finding that first pint of milk. After a particularly busy month for us prior to the stay all we looked for was somewhere to stay and do 'nothing'. This apartment fitted the bill completely and allowed us to do just that. Margarida was a delightful lady always available to help but inconspicuous at the same time. An enjoyable time for us both and very happy to recommend to others = 5*

Right from being picked up at the airport we were really impressed. Our meet & greet was so useful as they also gave us lots of information about the area. The first thing we noticed at the complex was how clean and well kept the grounds were. The apartment had everything we could have wanted, especially the kitchen, which was well equipped and which we used to full advantage. The apartment was well furnished and everything in good order. The local bus stopped very near (at the crossroads) and you could get to various places very easily from there. The local shop is very near and stocked most of the things you could have wanted, it even a very good wine and spirits section. A wonderful holiday and we will definitely be using this apartment again.

This a very well equiped apartment in an excellent location for those that prefer not to do too much driving whilst on holiday. There are so many amenties within walking distance, a couple of family run restaurants are within a 100 metres or so and the local tennis club and Pinhal Golf Course are close by. The 15-20 minute walk to the marina, with all it's shops, bars and restaurants is along a picturesque floodlit boulavard. This apartment and its location was just right for me and my family. The owners were exceptionally helpful and provided all the information and assistance to make this a wonderful stress free holiday. They really did make that extra effort.

I was lucky enough to stay at this apartment with my sister, brother-in-law and sister-in-law in June 2013. My brother-in-law has had a minor stroke since we booked and needed the assistance of a wheelchair for mobility. The access for him was excellent. The apartment is very well equipped with china, glasses and cutlery and the dishwasher was a "God send". The beach was at Villamura was un-crowded and the loungers and unberella were free for disabled people. The local restaurant which was about a 7 min stroll away was excellent value for money and run by a Portugese family. The food was always cooked fresh while you waited. Nibbles, main and a dessert with a litre of wine and tip worked out at only EUR 20.00 per head. Our biggest regret is that we only booked for 1 week and not 2 !! A perfect place to chill and yes, we would go back again. A big thanks to all at SASA

This apartment is absolutely fantastic, and we couldn't recommend it highly enough! Not only the apartment itself or the ease of the location but the owners were so helpful providing any extra info we asked for and really going above and beyond to make sure our stay was a positive one. I stayed with my partner and my sister and we were so impressed with how well equipped the apartment was, particularly the kitchen - it almost felt a shame that we ate out as much as we did and didn't take full advantage of it. We were out at the beach or the marina or sightseeing most of the time so it didn't really affect us, but the terrace is relatively small so that could be a drawback for some but as we were out and about or at the poolside it wasn't a problem for us. We will definitely be booking with SASA again!

We had a lovely relaxing Christmas and New Year thanks to SASA and their wonderfully located apartment for the old village and marina at Vilamoura and also well located for touring the Algarve. The apartment is nicely presented and has all the basics you would expect plus much much more. The welcome pack is a brilliant touch and very much appreciated after a long journey. We would recommend this or any of SASA's properties for a perfect location for touring or relaxing in the Algarve. Everything from booking online to being dropped off at the airport at the end was well attended to and very efficient.

Following several previous visits, we returned to Varandas Do Sol this year and again found that the service and attention to detail by the owners to ensure that their guests' holiday runs as smoothly as possible is in our experience second to none. The property is in an ideal location for us, being just a 15-20 minutes walk to Vilamoura beach and marina with all its fantastic array of places to eat and chill out. The amenities closer to the apartment are excellent with a well stocked local shop and several very good family run restaurants just a short walk away. The apartment is very well maintained with a super new kitchen and the welcome pack is a great touch, especially if you are arriving late in the day. We certainly intend to return in the not too distant future.
